| Differences Bewteen DLG Standard and Optional Formats |
The DLG optional format stores topology with area or node records while the DLG standard format stores topological information with line records only.
The DLG standard format contains 144 bytes per record (intended to minimize storage requirements), and the DLG optional format contains 80 bytes per record.
