ANTIQUE CARS
This mural, located near the intersection of  Kirkwood Highway and East Cleveland Avenue on the CSX railroad overpass, announces that you are now entering the City of Newark. The project was coordinated, and the mural designed, by Terry Forman in relation with was the  Design Committee of the Downtown Newark Partnership. Funding was provided by the City of Newark and through generous contributions from the community.  The images of people walking, dancing, and  drag racing in their sports cars came out of community responses to a  questionnaire about what it was like to live in Newark.  Ms. Forman was the primary painter and  according to her it is an on-going project, with frequent touch-ups required.
