Delaware Basemap Data

The most common GIS request we receive at RDMS are data requests. Locating the appropriate data set, obtaining it, and transforming it into a usable format is a time-consuming and frustrating process. The data collection on this page will provide immediate access to many Delaware GIS data sets.

NOTE! The data sets distributed from this site may not be the most up-to-date, even though we periodically update them. The Delaware DataMIL is always the preferred place to go for the most current data in the Delaware Spatial Data Framework. You can also create maps and connect to DataMIL's IMS services to use the most current data. Data layers obtained from DataMIL's IMS services are noted in the table below. Data from other sources is similarly marked.

This page was created primarily to serve the University of Delaware community. We try to provide this data in an open, accessible way, using standard formats (shapefile, ESRI GRID) and protocols (ftp, http). Additional data sets and file formats will be added as needed by the UD community.
