ArcGIS Server (AGS) template help
Anatomy of an ArcGIS Server mapping site.
What are the parts of the AGS template and what can I change?
- BANNER - The banner is made up of a background image and title text. You can create your own banner and title to be placed here.
- TOOLBAR - The toolbar is a standard component and provides a way for a user to interact with the map. Tools can be added and removed.
- LINKS - These can be links to pages relevant to your GeoViewer site.
- TASKS - These enable the user to find and interact with data. Example tasks might be (a) to find/search for features; (b) find addresses; (c) edit data.
- MAP CONTENTS - The contents of this pane will be based on the data included in your site and what attributes you make available to users.
- NAVIGATION ELEMENT - The north arrow is a standard component and allows a user to re-center the map by clicking on the north arrow image.
- OVERVIEW MAP - The overview map is a standard component that shows the area cuttenly being viewed and the entire geographic extent of the data available in the GeoViewer site.
