What is a GeoViewer web site?
A GeoViewer site is an online mapping site that RDMS staff can create and maintain for UD faculty and staff. RDMS will build this site using one of two offered web site templates and host it on RDMS servers. RDMS staff will also help find and extract the data you need and create aesthetically-pleasing maps. Therefore, you can have your own online mapping application without learning new software or dealing with the headaches of IT support.
In order for RDMS staff to create the best mapping service for your purpose, we ask that you visit each of these pages and select the options that you wish to include in your site. This information is saved to a cookie on your web browser. You can view all selected options by visiting the GeoViewer Summary page. Once you have completed the contact information on the Summary page, you can submit the information to RDMS staff for review.
What happens after I submit my request?
After you submit your request, RDMS staff will receive an email highlighting your choices and contact info.
RDMS staff will be in contact with you to set up an initial consultation appointment. You will need to
bring to this meeting your data and any other digital information you wish to have included on the site.
